Can CILQUE be machine washed?

Yes. Because we use premium heavy-weight silk, it's strong enough for the washing machine. Use a gentle detergent and hand or machine wash cold on a delicate cycle. Hang dry, or tumble dry low for 10 minutes maximum.

Every item ships the same day or the next business day after payment, via UPS or expedited Canada Post, with a tracking number provided at dispatch. What is your return policy?

We stand behind our products. If you're not 100% satisfied and the item is unused, we offer an exchange or refund within 7 days of receipt. To meet health regulations, returned products must be unused, unopened, unwashed and in the same new condition they were sent in. Return shipping is not covered.

Our mulberry silk is imported from a province in China renowned for its silk and embroidery, where the craft has been perfected over centuries and the quality remains unsurpassed.

What exactly is silk?

Functionally, there is nothing quite like silk. Synthetic imitations such as satin have never matched the health benefits silk offers. A natural product prized for thousands of years for its softness, insulating properties and strength.

Silk is measured in momme weight: the higher the momme, the higher the quality. Above 14 momme is considered high-end, and 19 momme is ideal for bedding thanks to its durability and rich texture. We use both 19 and 22 momme silk in our products.

How can I identify quality mulberry silk?

Quality silk has great flexibility with a soft, smooth touch. Poorer grades feel rough and uneven.

Is silk durable?

Very. Silk is a strong natural fibre, stronger and longer-lasting than cotton when cared for properly.
